Basic Program of Buddhist Studies
The Basic Program is an FPMT in-depth study program of nine important texts in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of Lama Tzong Khapa. At Lama Tzong Khapa Institute, the Basic Program is taught in two years, rather than in the standard five years, due to being a full-time program with classes nine months a year, five days a week.
The January 2012 to December 2013 edition
of the Basic Program at Lama Tzong Khapa Institute
is the first university accredited Basic Program in the FPMT.

TWO-YEAR ONLINE PROGRAM
The Basic Program is also available as an online course with weekly teachings and meditations, complimented by projects serving the community. Graduates of the online program qualify for the FPMT Basic Program Home Study Completion Certificate.
